THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PORTABLE CONCRETE BATCHING PLANTS
10/05/25
1. GENERAL
HTEN’s Portable Concrete Batching Plant is a modular system, with the main structural components designed as individual load-bearing modules. These modules are interconnected to form the primary load-bearing framework of the plant’s steel structure. This steel frame system evenly distributes the overall load onto the foundation, ensuring uniform load transfer through the structural contact points to the load-bearing ground.

3. Main Components
Main Portal Frame
- Constructed from high-strength steel sections, ensuring rigidity and high load-bearing capacity.
- Allows easy access for vehicles or material feeders underneath the structure.
Material Feeding System
- Uses a high-speed belt conveyor to enhance mixing efficiency; a V-type belt with a steeper incline can be used to reduce overall conveyor length. This system is supported by the plant’s main structural modules.
- Cement storage includes various silo types, with vertical silos and screw conveyors being the most common. Horizontal silos can also be provided for easier transportation. Bag-type cement hoppers with screw conveyors can be used where bulk cement access is limited.
- Aggregate storage and weighing typically consist of 2 to 4 storage bins with a weighing hopper and a distributing belt to complete the weighing system.
Weighing and Mixing System
- Sand, gravel, cement, water, and additives are weighed using electronic load cells.
- Mixing is done using a horizontal twin-shaft compulsory mixer.
Control Software
Fully automated computer control system developed by HTEN using PLC with integrated monitoring screens. This allows precise formula management and customized batching profiles for easy operation.
4. Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages
- Fast installation and modular connection; does not require heavy foundation load.
- Ideal for small or remote construction sites; well-suited for mobile projects requiring consistent concrete quality and reliable timelines.
- Open design allows for easy maintenance and operation.
- Can be designed for both ready-mix and on-site concrete production.
- Medium to high production capacity (30–90 m³/h).
- Supports multiple material feeding methods.
Disadvantages
Higher initial investment cost compared to conventional belt-type batching plants.
